HIGHnet partners get an education

HIGHnet have had repeated success at their latest Channel Partner event, which was recently held at the stunning Atholl Palace Hotel in Pitlochry. More than 40 Channel Partners attended the event, which they described as “excellent” and “well worth the time out to attend”.

With interactive workshops from Opal Telecom, Gamma Telecom, Openreach and Cisco, HIGHnet’s partners were treated to a strategic overview of the industry, and at the end of the day they left with a greater understanding of the technologies underpinning the delivery of HIGHnet’s services. These technologies include WLR3, mobile, mobile broadband and inbound call management, LLU, IP Telephony and Unified Communications.

Kim Moran-Hogg, Head of Channel Sales at HIGHnet says, “We have been known to claim that we are always at the forefront of telecoms technology. Being the exclusive provider of Opal’s LLU product in Scotland, and the only CP in Scotland in Business As Usual with WLR3, it’s clear why we make this claim, and also why so many companies choose to partner with us. Our events allow us to reinforce the consistent effort to provide the best possible service for both our partners and end-user customers.”

It is also clear to see why HIGHnet claim that partnering with them means you are working with some of the best Channel Account Managers in the country, given Kim’s achievement at the Comms Business Awards 2008 (winner of the Channel Salesperson of the Year 2008) a couple of weeks ago.

Jennifer Nicol, HIGHnet’s Marketing Manager, says, “We have already had some great feedback from this event. The educational premise of our events draws our partners to them, and they leave much more informed about our product range and where it fits within the industry as a whole. We have a wide range of partners, ranging from Systems Integrators and PBX and hardware resellers, to IT Services and Facilities Management companies, and whilst events like these develop their existing product knowledge, they also open up new opportunities for them.”
