Independent mobile distributor, HSC, and O2, have announced the successful completion of the HSC May Deal Clinic at Claridges, London, on 17th May 2011 (www.claridges.co.uk).
Partners of HSC were invited to enjoy an afternoon with HSC and O2 discussing deals in the heart of London, interrupted only by a sumptuous lunch at the five star, art deco hotel, which has been home to stars, socialites and the crowned heads of Europe for over 100 years.
The day provided an opportunity for HSC’s O2 stockists to meet with specialists from both companies, to receive help and assistance on new and re-sign contracts. Dealers were also able to increase their knowledge on the innovative portfolio of products provided by O2 to increase average revenue per user, including O2’s fixed line offering.
Remarked Carlos Pestana, sales manager at HSC: “This latest Deal Clinic was about us supporting our dealers even more. Drilling down into the nitty gritty and helping the dealers win more business. We also discussed how we can blend O2 Landline into the deals to make the customers more sticky and offer a more comprehensive solution. It worked. We’re in the process of closing 400+ connections discussed on the day alone with many more being worked on.”
Also present were members of the O2 Partner Care Services Team and O2 Marketing. Additionally, Microsoft’s business development manager for Cloud Services attended the event, to answer questions that dealers had regarding HSC’s latest offering, BPOS from Microsoft.
Continued Pestana: “The day also highlighted the dealers’ thirst for knowledge on Fixed Line and Broadband. This is something we’re addressing immediately. More training for more dealers. I think the ‘switched on’ dealers are really starting to embrace the multi-service offering the networks are now providing. I’m noticing the dealers are having deeper and more regular conversations with their customer base. This is making a difference in the reduction of out of contract O2 customers we are in turn seeing on our base. We’re continuing to see positive results in reducing churn and keeping customers happy.”
Jamie Dutton MD of JD Networks commented: “This was the first deal clinic I have attended and I found the day to be a great success. On one side was the benefit of having the team at HSC and O2 assist with additional offers to help close some outstanding accounts. On the other, were discussions about logistics, marketing, our direct relationship with HSC and the Cloud IT services which I’m very confident will add great value and an additional string to our bow of service and solution to end users.”
Steve Tipper, Business Development Manager of Pennine Telecom said: “Pennine were invited by their account manager to an O2/HSC clinic day. Despite a very early start and train to catch to London, this was a fantastic event. Clearly HSC had selected a premier location, giving a special atmosphere to the day. Having spent many years in the Mobile industry and attended similar days, I was especially impressed by the format. The break out clinics and sessions worked very well with the opportunity to get to know individuals at HSC and O2. I also found the product tables and presentations useful and informative.
Well worth the effort, congratulations to all on a well organised event.”
The event was open to all HSC O2 stockists that had current deals.
