Ingram Micro declare Microsoft's service provider licensing agreement 'open for business'

Ingram Micro have formally launched Microsoft’s Service Provider Licensing Agreement.

The new initiative has been months in the planning and Ingram Micro have invested much time and effort in establishing the right set up is in place to help partners build up a new hosting business or accelerate an existing venture.

Ingram Micro are planning a programme of partner events for November where resellers will have the opportunity to meet the Ingram Micro team and discuss their requirements and the solutions open to them.

The first event is on November 23rd 2012 and has a focus on hosting. Clare Barclay, Director of SMB at Microsoft UK, commented: “We have seen incredibly strong growth in the cloud services market over the past five years and the SPLA hosting business in the UK is now worth over $100 million. We believe the addition of Ingram Micro into the SPLA channel will drive new business and support VARs wanting to offer highly personalised cloud solutions to their customers.”
