Ingram Micro sign cloud services partnership deal

MSPs
Ipanema Technologies and Ingram Micro EMEA today announce they have signed a framework agreement to distribute Ipanema’s AppsWork service in EMEA.

This follows the successful launch of AppsWork in North America in April this year which resulted in a tremendous amount of partner engagement across MSPs and IT solution providers. The UK is the first country in EMEA to make the service available to Ingram Micro’s channel.

AppsWork is a game-changer that allows Ingram’s channel partners, from IT service providers to IT solution providers, to optimise application performance across the WAN and address their customers’ concerns around end-user experience, reliability and costs associated with on-premise and cloud-based business applications. As Ingram Micro EMEA expands its cloud services portfolio, AppsWork is a perfect way to enable its resellers to move from a product-focused business to a managed service model with associated recurring service revenues.

The partnership means that for a few Pounds per user per month, businesses can take full advantage of any application, including cloud and internet-based, with guaranteed performance and full application visibility. This has traditionally been reserved for the larger business, but the cost effective and easy-to-use service means that SMEs can deploy and manage these applications without the need for additional capital investment.

“We are delighted to extend our partnership with Ingram Micro beyond the US”, said Rogier van der Wal, Vice President Cloud Services, Ipanema Technologies. “Ingram Micro EMEA has clearly established itself as the leading Cloud & Managed Services aggregator in the European IT channel. We’ve had great success so far in the US and we anticipate the same level of interest in the UK and across EMEA. Guaranteeing application performance is a truly global business challenge.”

“Ingram Micro EMEA is dedicated to finding unique and cutting-edge technologies that its partner channel can leverage to increase their managed services revenues and provide strong services and support to their end-customers”, comments Jason Beal, Senior Director for Advanced Solutions and Cloud Services, Ingram Micro EMEA. “Ipanema’s AppsWork is perfectly suited to this purpose with its highly functional cloud-based solution that is an easy-to-sell service which offers tremendous revenue opportunity for our channel partners”.

Matt Sanderson, Managing Director at Ingram Micro UK said: “The partnership between both companies further strengthens our proposition as a Value Added Distributor of aggregated cloud technologies for the channel and I am delighted to be able to offer our business partners further cloud based solutions that will help them realise incremental and margin rich revenues along with the hosting scalability which will benefit our SME channel.”

AppsWork leverages a local appliance together with Cloud based services based on the industry leading cloud platform while scalable hosting is provided in compliancy with SAS 70.
