Intercity Unifies Shakespeare Birthplace Trust

The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust has announced today that it has successfully launched the latest version of unified communications solution, Orbit, to help improve communications across all locations.

After experiencing complete disparity between its headquarters and the five Shakespeare family homes in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust brought in communications technology provider, Intercity Telecom, to provide an effective unified communications solution that could streamline its telecommunications and improve call management and distribution.

Becky Cund, Director of HR & Administration at the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, explains, “We desperately needed a telephone system that was visitor friendly, informative and that would unify and improve communications for each of our bespoke sites. Intercity understood our requirements and worked with us to develop a tailored system plan that supported the needs of each of our departments, ensuring that the system works in a way that is most suited to our unique habits. Implementing Orbit has already started to transform the way the Trust communicates, call handling has improved for both internal staff and customers and there will be significant line rental and call savings, increasing productivity all round.”

Will Kennedy, Sales and Marketing Director at Intercity Telecom said, “Through implementing our unified communications solution we have provided the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust with the ability to collaborate easily both internally and externally with customers and colleagues, increasing productivity across all of its locations. We are future proofing the telephone estate by providing regular free updates to the system, ensuring the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust is always at the cutting edge.”
