Intervoice Announces New Solutions for Microsoft Speech Server

Intervoice has announced three new solutions for use with Microsoft Speech Server; these new solutions are the Intervoice Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) Telephony Interface Manager (TIM), the Intervoice Business Reporting Suite and the Intervoice Alert Monitor.

The vendor says the products are built to integrate with Microsoft Speech Server (MSS) 2004 R2 and utilising Microsoft’s .NET infrastructure, these solutions speech-enable key enterprise business processes and allow a new age of integration and collaboration between the consumer and the enterprise through the convergence of voice solutions and enterprise data.

“These new solutions are addressing a need among customers by providing VoIP connectivity options and expanding critical business reporting capabilities,” said Clint Patterson, director of marketing for Microsoft Speech Server. “Intervoice shares our vision for making speech a mainstream, pervasive technology, and solutions like this help our customers maximise their communication investments, increase productivity and reduce costs.”

For customers seeking deployment support of these solutions, Microsoft now recognises Intervoice Professional Services as a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner.

“As an Intervoice customer committed to the Microsoft platform, GTECH applauds the new solutions, which provide cost-effective VoIP connectivity and increased business functions for Microsoft Speech Server — a breakthrough that was not available to joint customers until now,” said Michael Sax, Director – Global Service Technology. “This integrated approach gives us confidence that our voice communication investments will remain efficient and cost effective as we continue to focus on delivering superior customer service through automation.”

Announced in June, MSS 2004 R2 delivers greater flexibility, lowers costs and provides enhanced performance and reliability for enterprise customers. With this new version, enterprise customers can offer language support for U.S. Spanish and Canadian French at no additional cost. Customers can also deploy MSS 2004 R2 in an all-in-one server configuration, which gives them greater flexibility when choosing a deployment option.

“By developing these solutions for Microsoft Speech Server, Intervoice is providing VoIP connectivity options, advanced business intelligence functions, key monitoring capabilities, and safe migration paths for customers dedicated to the platform,” said Michael Segura, Director – Microsoft Product and Strategy, at Intervoice. “Now our joint customers can realise the business value of speech adoption, including reduced TCO, increased customer satisfaction, increased employee productivity and additional revenue-generating opportunities, ultimately increasing the ROI on their Intervoice and Microsoft speech solutions.”
