ipcortex announces record breaking year

Amongst the backdrop of a memorable year for the UK as a whole, British UC vendor ipcortex have announced record results for growth and sales in 2012. Celebrating 10 years since current CEO Rob Pickering founded the business, the company also developed and demonstrated exciting new innovations around WebRTC – the emerging standard for web browser based real time communications – and enjoyed significant new hires in technical roles, further bolstering their UK based development and support teams.

CEO Rob Pickering commented, “2012 truly has been a remarkable year. We’ve enjoyed the spectacle of the Olympics, including the Torch’s visit to Bletchley Park, where our offices are based, and a royal anniversary in the form of the Jubilee – but of course, our own 10th anniversary has been the highlight of the year. This cause for celebration has been made even better by the fact that we’ve continued to enjoy over 20% compound growth in PBX hardware sales over the last 3 years – bucking the trend when compared to the industry at large.”

“It’s a year that’s been punctuated with memorable events, too. We celebrated our anniversary with our reseller channel - holding an event to entertain as much as inform - and we chose the occasion to give our community an exclusive insight into exciting new innovations around WebRTC, as well as raising awareness and funds for The National Museum of Computing. We also exhibited at Convergence Summit South, which proved yet again why it’s the channel’s premier show. Here, we celebrated British innovations like the Raspberry Pi and how even that tiny piece of technology can make UC so much more accessible”.

“Looking forward to the year ahead, I’m very excited to see what’s in store for us. This is in part due to the fact that we’ll be introducing a complete new product range for the first time since the launch of our highly successful range of IP PBXs. This will focus on the security of remote and distributed deployments, designed to make it even easier for resellers to deploy sophisticated, secure UC solutions across multiple locations. We’re also continuing our recruitment charge to facilitate future growth, particularly targeting appointments that further our commitment to innovation and customer service through sales and technical roles.”
