IT specialist ramsac launches new mentoring service

IT solutions consultancy ramsac has announces the launch of its new mentoring service. The service has been designed to offer in-depth guidance and advice, for existing or newly created in-house IT teams that may require specialised help. Whether it’s on an ongoing basis or for specific projects, ramsac’s IT Directors are available to work with IT teams to resolve problems and complete more complicated IT procedures.

ramsac’s mentoring service offers in-house IT departments and individuals the highest levels of support and assistance, without the fear of being usurped, as Robert May, Managing Director of ramsac explains, “As an independent IT consultancy we have real empathy with the role of the senior IT executive. Our own senior team have all been IT Directors themselves, so it makes sense for us to offer a further layer of support and expert help, to appeal to a whole raft of businesses that require that specialist input, just when it’s needed.”

The company’s team has a broad range of experience covering a wide range of organisations, small and large, across the private, public, charitable and educational sectors. May continues, “We’ve experienced most commercial IT situations first hand and have a wide knowledge of the varying types of approaches different organisations have to technology – so assisting, coaching and mentoring fellow IT professionals comes as second nature to us.”

Because businesses’ IT mentoring needs are as individual as any other part of their operations, ramsac’s service is tailored to the requirements of the in-house team. May adds, “For some IT executives they may just want our assistance for a special project or help with the development of annual plans and IT budgets. Alternatively, we can also meet with them every few weeks to look at team management, project control, new technology and ongoing planning.”

May concludes, “We know that leading the IT function for any organisation can be challenging and many directors and managers find it quite a lonely task, being torn between the pressures of ensuring technical stability, balancing the budget, meeting demands of the users and ensuring that technology is enhancing and supporting the growth and development of the business. Our IT mentoring services gives organisations the technical and business IT support they need to provide a highly focussed objective IT facility that fits their needs like a glove.”
