Kate O’Brien Joins Daisy Group As Director Of Marketing

Kate O’Brien has joined Daisy Group as Marketing Director for its Retail business, reporting directly to Chief Operating Officer Gareth Kirkwood.

Kate joins Daisy from Paymex Group, a financial solutions business where, as Group Marketing Director, she delivered business growth strategies and marketing campaigns to drive income and significantly reduce acquisition cost.

Kate brings extensive marketing and commercial experience from a variety of industries to her new role, from corporate and retail banking with the Co-operative Bank and Alliance & Leicester, travel with Airtours, entertainment at UCI Cinemas (now Odeon) and fashion retailing at Matalan. These roles saw her deliver at strategic and tactical ‘hands on’ levels across all marketing channels – from advertising/ PR campaigns and online presence to CSR - and engage with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

Daisy Group provides unified communications to business customers including data, mobile, telephone systems, maintenance and voice, and Kate is now working with the Daisy Retail board and the marketing and PR teams to finalise the marketing programme for 2012 and beyond.

Kate comments: “I am really pleased to be joining Daisy at such an exciting time for both the business and the wider technology and telecoms industry.

“Daisy has a great opportunity to amplify its voice in a crowded market and we will achieve this by deploying targeted, relevant and integrated communications using a range of channels – from traditional advertising to maximising our use of interactive social media channels. These will all help to achieve our ultimate goal for Daisy - to engage with, inspire and grow our customer portfolio.”

Gareth Kirkwood, Chief Operating Officer at Daisy Group, comments: “Kate is joining Daisy Group at a hugely exciting time. With the expansion of new business communications channels and developments across our growing product mix, she will be instrumental in communicating how Daisy’s products and solutions can help business customers become more agile, more efficient and more productive in a tough economic climate.”
