Kcom Makes Dark Fibre Available to Partners

Kcom recently attended the International Telecoms Week (ITW) event in Chicago to present its dark fibre offering.

ITW is the annual highlight of the international telecoms calendar and the event was attended by global resellers such as Orange, Telefonica and Verizon.

With 2,300 kilometres of national trunk fibre and 30 metro fibre networks of similar distance running in its own ducts, Kcom has significant capacity for dark fibre solutions, which can be leased to partners from any organisation with infrastructure requirements.

Mike Wilkinson, Channel Partner Sales Director at Kcom said: “This event was a great opportunity to showcase our capabilities when it comes to our extensive UK network reach and our flexible contract terms.

“Kcom has an independent, built-for-purpose, resilient fibre network, offering 24/7 maintenance support, with a target four-hour fix SLA (Service Level Agreement). We have extensive experience and a highly reliable network which makes Kcom the natural carrier of choice for organisations looking to extend their reach into the UK; and we do not restrict the lease of our network infrastructure to carriers.”

Kcom has already worked with businesses including Level 3, Telefonica and Vtesse Networks, who have used its dark fibre offering to extend their reach into the UK.
