Lanway announces Xsigo partnership

Lanway, the IT services and communications specialist, has been selected as a key strategic partner to data centre and fabric solutions firm Xsigo.

The Lancashire based firm can now provide enhanced data centre and virtualisation solutions for its clients, increasing its knowledge and portfolio of services. This latest relationship complements Lanway’s existing high-level partnerships, which include Microsoft, VMWare and Dell.

Xsigo simplifies data centre management by letting organisations dynamically connect any server to any network and storage solution. This reduces complexity by eliminating 70% of the cards, cables and switch ports, and delivers up to 112 Gbps bandwidth to each server for increased application performance. All at 50% less cost than traditional infrastructure.

The California-headquartered vendor wanted to strengthen its UK reach, and chose Lanway as a strategic partner due to its data centre and virtualisation expertise. Xsigo was also keen to partner with companies that demonstrated an ability to work independently when implementing solutions.

Andrew Henderson, managing director at Lanway, commented: ”Our clients are at the forefront of everything we do. Each partnership increases our ability to provide our customers with solutions that are tailored to their requirements.

“We’re always working to further our expertise and knowledge. Entering into a new partnership provides a great platform from which to take stock, evaluate and improve the services that we offer.”
