Launching Conference Call Service And On-Line Portal

A free conference call service is one of the great new features in VOIspeed’s software version 4.4.12, enabling users to create a conference call with any number of participants from their VOIspeed server. In addition to the existing conference call facility in which a user can start a conference call from the soft-client by inviting other users, in version 4.4.12 you can also setup a conference bridge. With this feature the user can setup a virtual meeting room at a certain date and time. During the allocated time slot, any person accessing the meeting room (using the access code automatically generated by the system) will be able to join the conference call. Of course non-VOIspeed users can access the meeting room too, by entering an access code via the existing IVR.

VOIspeed IP phone users will be pleased to know also that they now have an online soft client application to enhance the usability of their phones. Like the acclaimed Soft-Client for USB phones, this web-based Soft-Client application allows IP phone users to manage calls, view call lists and text messages to other users via an online portal.

Another new feature in Version 4.4.12, which will be particularly appreciated by the more technically minded amongst you, is the inclusion of G729 codec, the voice compression algorithm increasingly used in the industry to enhance VoIP audio quality and optimise bandwidth usage.
