M12 Wins ISPA Award

M12 Solutions’ superfast Internet brand Wessex Internet has received a major consumer award at the recent national Internet Service Provider Awards (ISPAs). The growing enterprise won 'Best Wireless' coming ahead of Metronet, Luminet and Vodafone - all well established and significant names in this area of the telecoms sector.

With 225km of its own fibre in the ground and over 175 masts and points of presence, Wessex Internet uses superfast fixed-wireless technology to deliver Internet speeds of up to 50 Mb/s wirelessly to over 1,200 homes and businesses in rural Dorset, Wiltshire & Somerset.

Judging followed two months of speed tests undertaken by Wessex Internet's customers, which proved it provides the fastest service of its kind in the country. The judges were also impressed with very high levels of customer service and flexible contracts available to its customers.

ISPA Secretary General Nick Lansman said “A big congratulations to all the winners at the 18th ISPA Awards. A huge range of companies won this year, showing the continued diversity, innovation and competitiveness of the UK Internet industry in what has been an eventful year for the sector.”

Wessex Internet were also national finalists for best Customer Service and best Superfast Internet. This is the second year that Wessex Internet have been finalists and Matthew Skipsey, Technical Director says “This year we were able to provide quality evidence associated with our network management and globally highest levels of client Net Promoter Scores to give weight to our submission".
