Seven middle managers from Pennine Telecom in Bury have successfully achieved the Level 2 Introductory Certificate in Team Leading from the Institute of Leadership and Management.
Kevin Beswick, Gary Booth, Gareth Hunt, Glyn Hutchinson, Phil Makin, Belinda McGee and Sandra O’Mahoney are now working towards the next level of the institute’s course with a view to eventually achieving a Diploma in Management.
“We value the input that our middle managers can give,” said Ann Barnes, Pennine’s Human Resources Manager, “and these qualifications strengthen and enhance their existing skills.”
The company is working towards the Investors In People standard and the course at Bury College for the middle managers is an integral feature of this development.
On successfully completing the Diploma course the seven will be able to become members of the Institute.
