Terry Cave, VP EMEA at St Bernard says that as UK resellers look to expand their convergence portfolio, they need an easy, pain-free path with good margins, ongoing revenue from annuities and perhaps an opportunity for brand extension too.
“There is no doubting the market opportunity in the UK at present. The security market – and in particular the market for managed security services (MSS) – is burgeoning, and offers resellers no end of opportunities. There are a number of reasons for this. According to analysts at IDC, 30% of companies with more than 500 employees have become infected because of Internet Surfing. Furthermore, the market for web and email filtering is huge and is being driven by companies’ security and compliance needs. According to Frost & Sullivan, the web filtering market reached $1.31B in 2005 and is estimated to reach $4.86B in 2012.”
