Matrix Leads UK Enterprises into the Intelligent LAN Environment

Matrix Communications, the UK Virtual Network Operator (VNO) and wholly owned subsidiary of Calyx Group plc has announced its direct partnership with Lancope, a vendor of LAN security products. Lancope’s StealthWatch portfolio gives IT managers visibility of network activity as it detects, contains and prevents any abnormal activity in the LAN, securing the corporate network against Trojans, worms, viruses and any unknown threats.

The company says this partnership reinforces Matrix’s commitment to the market and to delivering the most advanced solutions to its 800+ UK enterprise customers.

“We are the first to introduce the StealthWatch range of solutions to the UK, having following and closely scrutinised the technology’s development for some time,” said Andy Mills, Sales Director of Matrix Communications. “Securing the LAN has become a crucial part of the agenda to an increasing number of organisations and we found Lancope right at the forefront of this technology. There has already been a great amount of interest from both our existing and prospective clients surrounding the Lancope products and we believe this unique technology approach is set to make a huge impact on the marketplace.”

As corporate attacks become increasingly sophisticated and evade traditional perimeter defences, businesses now need to combat internal threats by securing their LAN environments. Lancope’s portfolio provides Network Behaviour Anomaly Detection (NBAD) solutions that defeat zero-day worms, internal network misuse and any other anomalies that compromise network integrity. By rapidly identifying, prioritising and mitigating critical threats, whether new or well known, Lancope’s technology reduces business interruption and loss whilst maximising network availability.

“Companies want to be able to monitor network intelligence thoroughly and in real-time in order to pro-actively secure their network. Lancope’s solution offers this accurate visibility into the behaviour of users on the network, allowing IT teams to monitor and manage security easily and saving them time in identifying any problems,” added David R. Schwickerath, VP of International Sales at Lancope. “We all appreciate that LANs now need new capabilities to safeguard against internal attacks, and a huge weight of independent industry accolades demonstrate that Lancope is unparalleled in accomplishing this.”
