Metronet Joins Government Vouchers Scheme

Businesses struggling on ADSL or low bandwidth broadband can now apply for up to £3000 towards the cost of installing high speed broadband and leased line services

These companies are likely to have been those that have been unable to afford the high costs of broadband installation and heavy ongoing charges, and unwilling to stomach the long lead time associated. The government backed scheme is intended as a test phase and a precursor to a much larger funding program if it proves to be successful.

As the only approved Manchester based supplier, Metronet (UK) is in an ideal position to install superfast connectivity within days. Known for delivering leased lines to some of the North West’s leading lights such as Manchester and Salford City Councils, City West Housing, One Education, Bruntwood and 25% of the city’s top 500 businesses, Metronet (UK) uses a hybrid approach, an innovative mix of radio and fibre technology to provide service.

Managing Director, James McCall said, “We urge the businesses of Manchester and Salford to get on board with this scheme as soon as possible. There is a narrow window for applications and a limited pot of money. Its first come first served so check whether you are eligible today!”
