Michael Jackson appointed as non-executive director…

Synchronica, the AIM-listed mobile email and data synchronisation provider, has announced that Michael Edward Wilson Jackson has been appointed to the Board as a non-executive director .

Michael Jackson, aged 58, has invested in smaller companies and the technology sector for the past 20 years. He qualified as a chartered accountant with Coopers & Lybrand and spent 23 years as a director of Sage, the last 15 years as chairman. During that time Sage's capitalisation rose from approximately £1 million to its current level of nearly £3 billion.

Jackson – no relation to the singer - is founder and chairman of Elderstreet Investments, which is best known for its investment in young, ambitious technology businesses.
