Micro P debuts at Convergence Summit North

Micro P has made its channel debut at Convergence Summit North this year. The megalith distributor has attracted a lot of interest over recent months as it has begun to make its make in both the fixed line and mobile sectors.

Micro P is at Convergence Summit North to introduce itself to the channel, and to showcase its partnerships with NEC, Samsung in mobiles and PBXs, Plantronix, and Acer. Managing director, Gerry O’Keeffe, said his company has successfully bought together all the convergent aspects of the comms channel, from the mobile and PBX, through to the soft phone.

O’Keeffe explained that Micro P is focused on bringing together all the different elements of convergence, to provide solutions that resellers and dealers can sell to their local community.

“Small and medium sized resellers, whether they are from data, mobile or fixed line voice, have a customer base that wants to buy from them, and we need to package solutions that enable them to sell simply and grow revenue. Effectiveness is the key part of any solution; it’s what IT directors really want.”

Continuing, O’Keeffe stated his company is here at Convergence Summit North to talk to the channel. He commented: “The channel is very independently minded. I think the channel values legacy, history and people relationships, and as a newcomer to the channel, that’s one of the things we need to demonstrate; that we’re consistent in terms of delivery to the market, that we’re very much here for the long term, and that we’re looking to deliver month on month value to the channel.”

On the show, O’Keeffe noted that business was going very well. “The show is buzzing,” he said. “It’s lively and we’ve had a hige response so far. I’m really enjoying it.”
