Midlands-Based Convergence Group Bucks the Recession Trend

Convergence Group, the Midlands-based network systems integrator, is pleased to announce it is bucking the gloomy economic forecasts and is expanding and growing its operations and team structure as business continues to boom.

Convergence Group has added a total of eight new members to bring its team up to 35 staff. Three new members will be joining the technical and engineering department including a technical support officer, support engineer and provisioning engineer. A further three members will be joining the sales team as well as a new client facing account manager and service desk manager.

This follows on the £750,000 investment in the recent opening of the company’s new high-tech Network Operations Centre (NOC), an impressive facility, designed to monitor, manage, identify and resolve any encountered network irregularity for its customers. The site is fully equipped with sophisticated network management, monitoring and analysis tools and provides a comprehensive view of all network traffic and activities around the world.

Founded by 34-year-old entrepreneur Neal Harrison, Convergence Group has grown from being ‘a one man band’ consultancy only four years ago to a multi-million pound national and international data network provider with a total team of 35 including 17 dedicated technical support members, servicing 70 end user customers and 20 business partnerships. The company now supports customer locations throughout the world operating in 7 different time zones 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
