MPL, publishers of Comms Business Magazine, is celebrating its eight successive year of record growth, an achievement that has been recognised by a leading financial analyst who have positioned MPL as one of the ‘strongest’ companies in the UK publishing sector.
Plimsoll, the respected financial analyst, has awarded MPL their highest accolade, rating the company as “Strong”. According to their analysis of 870 leading companies in the UK magazine publishers industry, MPL is bucking the trend.
Christopher Evans, Senior Analyst at Plimsoll said, “This is the highest accolade we award and reflects your excellent performance over the last 12 months. What is more impressive is that you have achieved this in a difficult marketplace where 187 of your competitors are in financial danger and a record number are making a loss”.
Miles Bossom, Managing Director, MPL commented, “I am truly delighted with this news and I have thanked my team as it is them that have helped us achieve record sales this year. The company experienced growth of over 40% in 2006. Our events have been very successful and this year is looking even better with our newly launched Convergence Summit North selling out well ahead of time.”
Continuing Bossom said, “I believe that the reason we have been so successful when other similar companies have been struggling is that we set out to offer our clients a solution rather than simply selling them what we want to. My philosophy is to always offer great value and provable ROI whilst ensuring that our clients feel valued”.
