Mitel Incentives a Hit with Channel Award Winner

The launch this week of a new reseller incentive scheme has been met with approval by their channel partner Universal Group, winner of the Comms Channel 2006 Convergence Award.

The Mitel SMARTreward program focuses on benefiting those that sell Mitel applications, either to new or existing Mitel customers. The biggest payouts will come to those who sell an IP solution that includes applications to a new name customer. Available to all Mitel accredited Solution Providers, the rewards are applicable to all qualifying solution sales made between 1st July and 31st December 2006 and will be paid on a monthly basis.

Ty Gardner, sales and marketing director, at Universal said: “Rewarding hard work with incentive schemes is a great motivator and Mitel’s SMARTreward scheme represents a ‘win win’ for all concerned. It’s the best programme in the industry and I know for a fact we will definitely take advantage again this year.”

Sara Hellon, channel marketing manager at Mitel, said: “We have redesigned the SMARTreward package to stress the importance of including applications within any IP communications proposition. Existing and potential customers already understand that IP is the way forward; therefore it is essential to include applications in order for resellers to add value and improve business processes and customer service. Mitel works closely with its resellers to equip them with the knowledge they need to sell Mitel applications to their customers, this includes holding webinars and workshops. With multiple new Mitel applications having been launched already this year there is a real opportunity for the channel to make some big wins.”

Rewards can be claimed either on an individual or group basis, so that whole teams can benefit from a sale. The full range of Mitel applications qualifies for the plan, and includes: customer interaction applications, team working solutions and the mobile working product range.
