Mobiado becomes official sponsor of Powerboat P1 World Champs

Mobiado, the manufacturer of precision luxury mobile phones, has announced a one year agreement with Powerboat P1 Management to become an official sponsor of the Powerboat P1 World Championship.

Combining the high octane drama of a James Bond chase with cutting edge fashion a la Miami Vice, the Powerboat P1 glitterati live life in the fast lane. Powerboat P1 is the world’s premium marine motorsport, with teams from around the globe racing at jaw dropping speeds exceeding 125 miles per hour in supercharged mono-hull powerboats.

Measuring up to 13 meters and weighing as much as seven tones, these twin engine powerboats generate up to 1800 horse power – three times the power of a Lamborghini sports car - resulting in almost 40% more horsepower on the starting grid of a P1 event than Formula One.

Fans from around the globe can also follow the action watching the TV footage, now broadcast worldwide and available in 500million homes. Mobiado will receive extensive branding at all world championship race villages.

Peter Bonac, president of Bonac Innovation, said: "Mobiado is proud to be an official sponsor of the Powerboat P1 World Championship. We look forward to a long and prosperous working relationship, and are thrilled to be part of this prestigious series."

Powerboat P1 chief operating officer, Robert Wicks, welcomed the addition of the luxury mobile phone brand to the series. He said: “We are delighted to have Mobiado on board as one of our key luxury partners for 2010. Our alliance with the innovative mobile phone manufacturer upholds the integrity of our VIP experience and the championship’s reputation as a popular attraction amongst ultra high net worth individuals.”
