Networks First works with Cisco on Support Contracts

Networks First, the provider of support services for network infrastructures has announced it is working with Cisco Systems to implement changes in procedures to ensure correct registration of all support contracts. This includes the Shared Support Programme.

Peter Titmus, Managing Director, Networks First, comments: “Networks First has gone to great lengths since the launch of Shared Support to be compliant with Cisco’s product registration process that ensures legitimate access to software and escalation. We know others haven’t so Cisco’s initiative should be good for the channel and end users by making it obvious what they can expect from the service they are paying for.”

Moving forward, Networks First will ensure that there is a signed end-user registration document detailing the devices to be maintained with the associated service levels. This is similar to the registration that customers undertake for SmartNet contracts or, for that matter, all software licenses.

Titmus concludes: “Partners and customers will not be affected by this change. Networks First will be taking charge of all the administration; in the same way as we currently take responsibility for inputting serial numbers on Cisco’s portal. We are extremely pleased to be supporting Cisco in further strengthening and improving the level of support provided to its end users.”
