Alay Patel has joined Westcon from APC as European Business Development Manager for Critical IT Power and Cooling Solutions. Alay has 5 years experience in developing channels for APC.
Patel said "Westcon's portfolio offers solutions to help tackle the growing issues and challenges of IT power, cooling and energy efficiency. My role will be to develop this market in conjunction with our channel partners."
Westcon has also recruited Julie Fountain as an European Business Development Manager for Audio Solutions. After successfully driving the reseller business at GN Netcom for 4 years Julie will now be responsible for developing the Westcon headset business with leading brands GN Netcom and Plantronics. Westcon is looking to extend their headset business in to 2009 and Julie’s experience of both recruitment and activation of reseller partners is paramount to achieving this.
