New Technology Centre Creates Jobs for Infinity

Infinity Group has created six new jobs by opening a new technology centre at its base in Hamilton Industrial Estate, Leicester. The centre supplies Leicestershire businesses with a full range of telecoms equipment and gadgets including: phone systems, computers, car kits, cameras, mobile phones and accessories.

A year ago, The Infinity Group had spotted what they believed to be a huge gap in the market for a place where small firms could buy a full range of telecommunications equipment over the counter. Following £250,000 investment and an extension to their head office building in Hilltop Road, the technology centre is now open for businesses and the general public to visit Monday to Friday 9am – 5.30pm.

A fully kitted out technology demonstration suite is also on site – giving telecoms and IT customers an opportunity to see equipment working in situ and try before they buy. The centre has created 6 new jobs initially and there are plans to further expand the store and staff in 2009.

Ty Wilson, Sales Director, said, “Our centre is conveniently located in Hamilton, and the purpose of it is to target people who don’t want the hassle of going into the city centre and going from shop to shop to find what they need. We’ve listened to what our customers have to say and our centre provides everything a business needs, all under one roof – plus there is free parking and experienced specialists on hand to give advice. We won’t be offering just one main brand name like some of our competitors – our customers will get unbiased advice, a range of great value products to choose from and excellent after-sales service.”

Infinity was started by Chief Executive Simon Thakor – a local entrepreneur and businessman who recently expanded Infinity’s presence in the South of England by acquiring a telecoms company in Hampshire for an undisclosed sum. In 2009, the company is looking to acquire additional IT and telecoms companies to expand its network of engineers throughout the UK.
