NewNet Appoints Senior New Business Sales Executive

Internet Service Provider NewNet has appointed Steve Copp as Senior New Business Sales Executive as part of an extensive recruitment drive to expand the present Sales Team.

Steve joins NewNet with a wealth of industry experience including 5 years of Voice & Telecoms at IBM, and most recently he was Manager of Corporate & Public Sector Sales for Neos Networks, who are wholly owned by Scottish & Southern Energy. Steve also has a strong entrepreneurial aptitude and enjoyed 5 years of running his own Sales & Marketing Consultancy - a work ethic that will be essential to seeking out new market opportunities and driving new business sales into NewNet.

Steve commented: “NewNet is a sleeping giant. Having run my own business and worked in Corporates for most of my career, my decision to join NewNet was based on my belief that NewNet offers the marketplace the best of both words; the professionalism, stability and quality of 'product' that a Corporate would deliver, combined with the flexibility and 'partner' mindset of an SME. Added to this, NewNet have a fantastic team that work very hard to ensure that customer service and delivery are prioritised at all times. I look forward to a long and happy career with the NewNet team!”

NewNet is currently enjoying a period of rapid growth following its acquisition into the Timico group – a leading Unified Communications Provider – in February 2010, and Steve’s appointment is the start of many. NewNet is actively searching for Sales professionals with similar skills to Steve, for roles including Head of Channel, New Business Executive, and

Business Development Manager.

Sales Director Paul Schneider commented: “I’m delighted to welcome Steve Copp to our ever-expanding Sales Team. Steve will be a key driver in bringing in and closing sales from Enterprise level businesses and will be actively developing our presence in vertical sectors.

Steve is the first of many new sales people soon to be joining NewNet and I look forward to filling our current vacancies with the sort of calibre that Steve possesses.”
