Nimans adds Aastra to UC point portfolio

Nimans has strengthened its UC end point portfolio by gaining access to Aastra’s innovative range of Microsoft Lync optimised handsets. In a further boost, Nimans can now independently supply Aastra’s comprehensive SIP end point range, previously only available with system sales.

Resellers can access Aastra’s 6721ip and 6725ip Lync handsets where the entry level 6721ip is ideally suited for hot-desk applications and meeting rooms.

The 6725ip allows PC desktop control of phone calling features such as transfer, hold, call park, conferencing and click-to-dial. It features both a full colour 3.5” LCD screen and a separate UC presence icon providing direct access to features and presence indications. Exceptional voice quality comes as standard.

Aastra’s range of stylish SIP handsets include the 6731i and 6757i models that combine high quality audio performance with business class functionality, such as a full duplex speakerphone and access to a central phone book.

Nimans’ Head of Handset Sales, Ian Brindle, says adding Aastra handsets represents a significant step forward. “Gaining access to both the Lync and SIP-based products significantly strengthens what was already a very compelling UC portfolio, providing resellers with more choice and convenience as part of a one-stop shop of products and services.”

He added: “Nimans is already an approved Aastra system supplier, so combining handsets with the Aastra 400 platform for example represents a very powerful, cost effective and convenient customer proposition.”

Alan Reeve, Aastra’s UK Managing Director, was equally positive. “We enjoy a very productive trading partnership with Nimans and look forward to providing their extensive customer base with the opportunity to capitalise on growing hosted opportunities. As an innovative and respected market leader, it’s a win-win situation for ourselves, Nimans and more importantly their customers.”
