Nimans Develops Draka Partnership

Resellers have been getting connected with a new trading partnership between Nimans and specialist cabling manufacturer Draka – hailing the first authorised installer training course a resounding success.

Dealers from across the North West converged at Nimans’ Manchester headquarters for the day long ‘Introduction To Draka’ training programme aimed at experienced and novice installers.

The course featured a complete overview of the data infrastructure arena - from structured cabling to the latest fibre optics as well as cabinets, frames and installation practices.

One Liverpool-based dealer confirmed afterwards: “It was very convenient travelling over to Nimans as they can now offer accredited on-site training. We’ve not sold Draka before but the course was very informative and relevant to today’s market. It provided us with a great springboard to move further forward, based on building our confidence and knowledge.”

Nimans has gained access to Draka’s UC Connect product range which includes data and fibre cabling and various modules – from a manufacturer (now part of the Prysmian Group) that boasts a trading pedigree stretching back over 80 years.

Nimans’ Dealer Sales Director, Tom Maxwell, says the new alliance represents a significant step forward for the evolving comms distributor that is planning more training courses throughout 2012.

“Working with Draka further strengthens our data infrastructure proposition and from the evidence so far, there’s a great appetite in the channel,” he said.
