Nimans’ Mid-Market Foray Moves Forward

Nimans’ say their foray into the mid-market space with Avaya goes from strength to strength, as dealers learn how best to capitalise on lucrative new market opportunities.

A series of popular sales training workshops have followed-on from a successful launch event at a top Manchester hotel for Nimans, where Avaya’s’ MultiVantage Express platform forms the cornerstone of its enhanced product range .

Nimans’ Avaya Business Manager, Tim Freeth says interest continues to grow on an almost daily basis after the manufacturer added Nimans to its mid-market distribution channel several months ago. “This range is currently aimed at up to 500 users and we’ve had really good take up. Interest is very strong as firm orders begin to flow in. It is clear the channel is reacting very enthusiastically to the new developments with Nimans and Avaya,” he explained.

Dealers at the first sales course at Nimans’ Manchester HQ heard it is important to see the mid market product as a complementary offering to their existing portfolio such as Avaya’s IP Office. Tim said resellers need to understand where and who to pitch mid-market to, and target appropriate sized customers to maximise their sales revenue.

“The aim for them was to understand the product and how to position it with customers - to have the knowledge, information and confidence to embrace the many opportunities being created,” Tim pointed out.

He continued: “We have enjoyed phenomenal success in the SMB market with Avaya over the last four years which gives us a great platform to build on. This is the next logical step for Nimans to take our business partners to the next stage.”

He highlighted the low risk opportunity, low cost of entry and comprehensive support from both Nimans and Avaya, as key attractions. Tim also emphasised how business partners are particularly interested in the Avaya MultiVantage Express, as initial set-up can be completed in less than two hours, reducing installation and project management costs.
