Nimans Predicts Continued Conferencing Boom

With markets predictions of up to a 20% rise in conferencing sales over the next few years, distributor Nimans is urging resellers to put their business firmly in the frame.

Demand for audio and video conferencing continues to boom for the distributor, in line with general market predictions of a major acceleration in sales, fuelled in part by the continued economic slowdown, sky high petrol prices, and lower cost of entry.

But despite a sustained sales surge, Nimans says there’s still a significant part of the channel that has currently not embraced the lucrative conferencing market.

Nimans works with major brands such as Panasonic, Polycom, Radvision, Konftel and ClearOne and is predicting continued upwards momentum for both video and audio products throughout 2012. To help inspire further demand Nimans can offer free sales and technical training, a cost effective conferencing tool kit that can be individually branded, and many sales guides and educational literature.

“ROI is crucial with every sale in today’s tough economic arena,” confirmed Head of Conferencing Sales, Ian Brindle. “Many businesses are looking to cut their operating budgets and conferencing is a proven way of achieving this. We know that Panasonic invested £750,000 by deploying video conferencing across their global operation and recouped their outlay in just six months on flights alone – so the numbers really do stack up.”

Brindle says conferencing is a proven alternative to business travel and has become a valuable reseller add-on to traditional system-based sales. More end user awareness and education – part of an overall Unified Comms mix is also helping increase demand.

“Some industry experts are predicting a rise in conferencing sales of up to 20% by 2015 and these trends are certainly being mirrored here at Nimans,” Brindle explained.

With the widest range of conferencing solutions in the channel, complemented by an in-house team of dedicated conferencing experts, Nimans is ideally placed to help dealers identify and capture more sales, he says.
