Nimans & Rocom Climb The Summit

Convergence Summit North was the launch pad for Rocom’s new telecoms Portfolio trade catalogue as several new product innovations also captured the interest of attendees.

Rocom’s first-ever appearance at Summit North was shared with Nimans on a joint stand which displayed a series of new product innovations such as Polycom’s IP 5000 and Konftel’s 250 audio conferencing units, BT’s Diverse handset range, the Yealink SIP business phone with video capabilities, OpenScape Office MX technology from Siemens and a big button phone from Doro.

Dealer Sales Director, Tom Maxwell, who took his place on a panel debate about the future of distribution, said Nimans and Rocom were well pleased by the overall positive response from visitors.

He explained: “Our new trade catalogue was a major talking point with lots of resellers taking copies home. There was great interest in Portfolio along with lots of other communication technology on display from many leading manufacturers.”

The new-look 460-page catalogue provides the perfect reference point for thousands of the latest communication products, from complete systems to peripheral items such as headsets, music on hold and call recording technology.

In addition Rocom resellers can learn more about many associated support services such as leasing, networks, lead generation and marketing expertise - the cornerstone of Rocom’s ‘Total Distribution’ blueprint.

Tom added: “The Rocom 2010 portfolio has been designed as a reseller-friendly extensive guide to systems and telephony peripherals. This year, we continue the tradition of high quality, informative pages presented in easy to use, colour coded sections. We are delighted to present more suppliers and an increased number of margin-rich products.”

In a direct message to the reseller base, he concluded: “Like you we know the challenges brought about by the ever-changing voice and data telecoms industry and the demands they place on your business. As a key player in the industry for nearly 30 years, we continue to invest in our operation by shaping Rocom as the ‘preferred distributor’ with our Total Distribution package. Today’s distribution model is all about filling gaps, presenting new revenue opportunities and above all, providing a support infrastructure totally committed to helping you grow your business.”
