Node4’s Data Centre Fills Up

Hosting and colocation providers, Node4 has reported that the first hall in their state-of-the-art Data Centre2 is almost at capacity and expansion plans have begun.

Since the opening of DC2 in November of last year, demand for the top-class data centre has risen significantly, so much so that developments to prepare Hall 2 have had to be brought forward. Construction is underway on the second hall to match the technologically advanced Hall 1 with N+1 air conditioning units, generators, and UPS system; secure swipe-card access and CCTV to ensure the highest security; along with resilient connections to the internet via several providers.

Node4 are also looking to expand their data centre facilities even further before the end of 2008, with the development of a facility in the Milton Keynes area. Plans once again are being made for the highest standard of security, service and technologies, but this time space for around 300 42U racks. More details on this expansion will be available when Node4 exhibit at Internet World at the end of April, along with some exclusive offers on their colocation service for visitors to the exhibition.
