Norton and EE Release Security Apps for Business

Norton by Symantec has announced the availability of a Norton security solution via Business Apps from EE, a selection of apps handpicked for small businesses to help them do more and save time. Norton 360 Business Premium protects small businesses’ devices against cyber threats, securing smartphones, tablets and computers. Norton 360 Business Premium is now available to customers via EE Business Apps for £5 per month.

Small businesses today use smartphones, PCs, laptops and tablets to get the job done, and need peace of mind that personal or customer details are secure and that data is protected in the case of device theft. Norton 360 Business Premium protects multiple devices with a single solution which uses comprehensive, patented technologies working as layered protection to outsmart online threats, and alerts users to phishing sites and dubious social media content, scams and links. Devices can also be instantly pinpointed if they are misplaced or stolen.

Recent Norton research showed that 74% of small businesses believe that a day’s worth of downtime will negatively impact their reputation, and that the use of security technology to help protect from external threats (e.g. phishing/online scams/hacking) was important to more than four in five (81%) small businesses. Also, more than half of those surveyed (58%) stated that they were confident about business growth, with finding and retaining new customers being their number one priority for business growth.

Maria Armishaw, Head of Small Business Marketing at EE, said: “We’ve developed Business Apps to provide our customers with a handpicked selection of the best apps available for small businesses, ranging from accounting software to productivity tools. Security is critical for all businesses, and by partnering with Norton by Symantec, we’re providing our small business customers with flexible and easy to use protection their smartphones, tablets and PCs, giving them peace of mind and protecting critical business information so they can focus on their customers and the job at hand.”

“Small businesses are the backbone to the UK economy so it’s great news that they are confident about future growth,” said Simon Beech, UK&I Norton Business Manager at Symantec. “But if they are to achieve their business goals, they must understand just how vulnerable they are to external cyber threats that could impact their business in major ways.

There are lot of tools available designed especially to help them, and by making Norton 360 Business Premium available via EE, we hope to make security even easier.”
