Norton Set to Leave Samsung

David Norton, the long term managing director of Samsung Telecoms is set to leave the company at the end of 2005.

Speaking exclusively to Comms Business Magazine Norton confirmed the rumour that had started to circulate through the channel in recent days, “There comes a time when we all have to seek out pastures new and I will be leaving Samsung at the end of the year.”

Some observers have said that Samsung had been pressurising Norton in to moving from Manchester to their head office in Chertsey and that Norton was not keen on the move, nor the difference in house pricing between the two locations. At present Norton, who was part of the original Securicor Telecoms company taken over by Samsung in the late 1990’s, has confirmed he has no immediate plans nor a new job to move in to come January 1st.
