Nycomm Acquires Pennine Group!

Distributors
Nycomm has acquired the Pennine Group in a multi-million-pound deal.

The Pennine Group is a successful and growing business that has been operating in the communications sector for over 40 years - a well-respected distributor and provider of unified communications, mobile solutions, cloud and IT services as well as its original specialisation in Two-Way Radio.

The Pennine Group is also a distributor of the analogue and IP handset businesses Interquartz UK and Yealink UK.

Headquartered in Pendlebury, the Nycomm Group now comprises four main brands. Nimans (predominantly comms distribution), Rocom (specific corporate end user sales), Videonations (audio visual and video conferencing specialist) and now Pennine.

Generating annual turnover in excess of £14m, this new addition will take the Nycomm Group – that includes the Nimans brand – over £100 million revenue. It also gives the Group a product portfolio in radio, telecoms, UC, hosted, IT services, hire, video, consumer and peripheral products which will help build growth towards its next target of £150 million turnover.

Commenting on the deal, Julian Nimans told Insider Media, "Pennine will bring a host of high-calibre long-term contracts built up over its illustrious history and will also provide the group with direct access to the Yealink and Interquartz product ranges. This will help the group grow its purchasing power and further extend its geographic reach.

"The divisions within the Pennine Group complement our existing direct supply offerings from Rocom and will provide new supply opportunities for Nimans and Videonations."

In addition to the unparalleled portfolio of products, Nycomm will also benefit from the addition of Andy Roberts, who was Managing Director of the Pennine Group, to its board.
