Olive Win Vodafone Award

The illustrious awards ceremony held at St Johns in Solihull (9 July) was the celebration of 30 years of success since Vodafone made the first mobile phone call in the UK and now 30 years on, recognises Olive Communications as its Platinum Partner 2015, as a result of a market leading performance.

This award secures another fantastic year for Olive and Vodafone UK who last year launched a ‘Joint Initiative’ in May 2014 which afforded Olive full access to the Vodafone UK portfolio of products and services across mobile, fixed telephony, data and cloud-based applications and services.

At the time of the launch of the joint initiative Olive's Chief Executive Martin Flick commented: "During the past year our business strategy has started to yield significant results, and the joint initiative will now build upon that success.”

The ability to provide the full range of Vodafone’s unified communication services has proven Olive’s ability time and again to deliver Vodafone’s broad and complimentary portfolio of integrated communication services, and this is recognised by this year’s win in the top tier of its partner programme.

This year’s conference saw the announcement by Vodafone to evolve its partner channel and plans to pave the way for increased capability and a broader range of services being delivered though its partners, delivering integrated services including; mobile, fixed line, OneNet and WAN connectivity, alongside future products such as M2M and cloud services as well as managed service provision across its integrated product set.

Martin Flick CEO of Olive said: "The way people communicate and share information is being revolutionised, and Vodafone and Olive are able to help customers maximise the benefits of this technological advancement for maximum advantage. We have seen significant change in the past thirty years with Vodafone being a leader in the market since its inception. The pace of change is accelerating and by integrating communications, UK plc can derive significant advantage from our combined offering, improving productivity, flexible working, and workforce efficiency. The agility and flexibility offered by Olive, backed by the credibility of Vodafone’s market leading portfolio provides customers with a very compelling proposition."

Nick Birtwistle, Director of Partnerships and Alliances at Vodafone UK said: "Olive has a strategy that is aligned to Vodafone’s and have demonstrated that they can deliver our portfolio in close proximity to customer need, with solutions more valuable than the sum of the parts. This award recognises Olive as being one of the leaders in our indirect space."
