OneCom Acquires Norfolk Firm

OneCom, which has its head office in Whiteley, Hampshire, has acquired OneStream, based in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk, as it continues to implement its expansion strategy.

Under the terms of the deal, OneCom will keep on OneStream’s sales and customer services staff. The company plans to move these staff to new offices in the area, where they will operate under the OneCom branding.

Like OneCom, OneStream is a Vodafone partner, and the deal will strengthen OneCom’s position as the leading independent supplier of Vodafone connections.

The purchase of OneStream is the latest in a string of acquisitions for OneCom, which was formed when Premier Telecom and Business Phones Direct joined forces to become one company earlier this year.

Earlier this year OneCom acquired Brighton-based lead generation firm Black Sheep Communications, and also purchased IT specialists Simplicity4.

OneCom, which manages more than 190,000 mobile lines and also offers fixed line and IT services, is now the country’s leading independent telecommunications firm.

The latest deal means the firm will have a base in Norfolk for the first time, as well as its existing offices in Fareham, Camberley, Leeds, Hereford, Birmingham, Southampton, Bristol, Telford and Plymouth.

Darren Ridge, Chief Executive of OneCom, said the acquisition of OneStream involved significant investment and was a strategic move to expand the firm’s geographic reach.

“It’s a very good strategic acquisition because he we haven’t got any representation in that area at the moment,” he said.

“OneStream share our values of excellent customer services driving everything we do, and they have a loyal customer base. The firm has excellent revenues and a low churn rate and are the ideal fit for us.”
