Opal to Disrupt Market with Groundbreaking Business-Grade Broadband

Next Generation Networks provider Opal is set to disrupt the market as it announces its groundbreaking new business grade broadband product – and despite the economic slowdown, has already seen 10,000 new customers sign up during the post-Christmas period.

The company, which is the business-to-business division of The TalkTalk Group, is anticipating there will be huge demand for the product, which is set to undercut BT with its extremely aggressive pricing, giving those partnering with Opal extraordinary margins and revenue opportunities during this challenging economic environment.

Opal will offer the business-grade broadband, which utilises ADSL2+ technology and offers speeds of up to 24Mbps and network prioritisation, either as a component-based product, allowing resellers and systems integrators to build their own bundles, or as a ready built package with up front commissions.

The product has the advantage of operating across the group’s proven and tested Next Generation Network (NGN), which has more than 1.4 million existing broadband connections, allowing forward-thinking resellers to leverage the network, as well as the security of a stable and resilient provider.

Nathan Stenson, Director of Wholesale, said: “This is a powerful product and is another important step in Opal’s comprehensive business-to-business roadmap for the coming years to deliver truly business-grade applications, leveraging the investment and scale of the group’s NGN. We want to work with partners who share our vision and recognise the opportunity to increase margins and improve their trading during the difficult times ahead.”

“Business working practices are rapidly changing meaning demand for prioritised high speed broadband technology has never been greater, and partners, more than ever, want a resilient provider with plenty of room for margin. Opal – a financially robust business, with a highly resilient network – is well positioned to deliver this and we are looking for new and existing partners to join us.”
