Orange’s in-store snowman goes on general sale

A three inch paper snowman which originally started life as a prop in Orange retail stores is set to be a Christmas best-seller this December.

Such is the demand for the cute and cubic shaped snowman that Orange has decided to reproduce and sell it in store for £2.50, with half the proceeds going to Orange’s global charity partner UNICEF.

Director of Orange retail, Sian Doyle, said: “It is unbelievable the amount of requests we have had from customers wanting to buy the quirky little snowman. Our retail stores have been full of people coming into the shop just to see them. After getting so many requests to purchase one, we decided to put them into production to satisfy customer demand and make some money for a good cause.”

The lure of having their very own Orange snowman proved so much for one new PAYM customer in Tamworth, who loved it so much he tried to steal a three foot version on display. Luckily, the festive fiend was stopped from escaping the Ankerside shopping centre by Orange salesman, Antone Douglas, who brought him back to the store where he is now under close security.

And it’s not only customers that are going snowman crazy, Orange retail staff are taking great pride in styling their snowmen’s scarf every morning and renaming their Christmas mascots.
