Outsourcery launches Microsoft Mobile Express

Networks & Network Services
Communications and hosted IT provider, Outsourcery, has launched Microsoft Mobile Express. The software enables businesses in the UK to obtain access to their up to the minute sales, marketing and customer service information held centrally within Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0, via a mobile device.

Microsoft Mobile Express will be given free of charge to all Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0 customers and will provide access to Outsourcery’s hosted CRM solution via any mobile device with a web browser, including Windows Mobile and BlackBerry devices. This means that Outsourcery Dynamics CRM customers will be able to access and update information in CRM while they are on the move.

Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Outsourcery, said: “The world of business increasingly demands that business critical information be obtained on a mobile device and in real-time. Customers already understand the benefits of having access to their email wherever they are, giving them the ability to respond quickly to customer requests. Microsoft Mobile Express will enable our customers to work in that same way and keep everyone within their organisation in touch with the latest customer information at the same time.”

Microsoft Mobile Express is designed for quick access to customer information – specifically catering for users who need to view and update their data while on the move. It looks very similar to CRM on a PC and there is no installation required to enable it to function on a mobile device as it is installed on a hosted server – not the mobile device itself – before being accessed via a web browser. Any updates are immediately synchronised back to the central CRM application via the mobile network so it is secure. An administrative interface is available to enable customers to control what their users can view on their mobile device.
