Panasonic Goes on the Record with Commsoft

Panasonic Business Telephone Systems has announced that they are to re-brand the Commsoft voice recording solution Voicemaster. To be known as the Panasonic VR (PVR) the product will be sold throughout the vendor’s network of resellers.

‘We carried out an evaluation all of the various voice recording products out there but found the Commsoft product to be the best for us in terms of features, functionality and price. Voicemaster was tested stringently and we are very impressed; impressed enough to re-brand the solution with the Panasonic name.’ says Jeremy Whilde, Software Development Manager at Panasonic.

Panasonic VR is a complete solution which will include the full Panastat call management application and a dedicated PC; the product offers both trunk and extension recording with tamper search capability.

Panasonic Channel Manager Roger James said, “The voice recording market is one of the current growth areas in telecommunications. The Panasonic Voice Recorder that we have secured from Commsoft will provide our channel partners with a best in class product at a price suited to our core markets, that's reliable and which will have the support that is needed to secure success.”

Panasonic dealers have also been involved in trials of the solution and have already generated substantial voice recording orders. The feedback from the channel has been very positive with dealers such as Resource Telecom, GP Telecom and Modern Communications, a London based dealer specialising in selling to City and financial institutions.

“The product has proved to be easy to use and integrate. I use the recorder myself internally for staff training purposes and my favourite feature is the Client Licence which has given me the ability when out of the office, to listen in to calls, conversations & traffic from any location with internet access. I have found myself using this kit more than I initially anticipated. I would also like to comment upon the excellent level of training & support provided”, says Adrian Barnard, Managing Director.

It is this kind of response from their dealers that has confirmed to Panasonic that this is the right solution for them. ‘Our dealers are looking for value-add products that generate significant margin but they are also looking for excellent levels of support and back-up. The new PVR solution gives them everything that they need, with highly competitive pricing and a range of features that will win them deals’ says Mark Ivens, Marketing Manager of Panasonic Business Telephone Systems.

Panasonic will launch the PVR solution in November to its dealer channel, with the full support of the team at Commsoft.
