Panasonic Target Unified Communications for SMBs with new NCP Systems

Panasonic has launched its eagerly awaited range of systems – the NCP (Network Communications Platform). The NCP is being initially released in two form factors – the NCP500 for up to 64 extensions and the NCP1000 for up to 104 extensions. The company says the systems provide cost effective unified communications solutions for the small to medium sized business.

The NCP range of products combine IP telephony with ‘Server-less’ user productivity applications, providing extensive business communications functionality in a soultion that’s easy to install and maintain.

In short the NCP range provides integrated unified communication applications with presence and availability, feature rich mobility solutions and extensive business telephony features.

The ‘Server-less’ solution architecture of the new system is designed to allow small and medium sized business customers to take advantage of unified communication solutions, without the need for external servers thereby reducing the overall solution costs, simplifying installation and enhancing business productivity.

The design objectives underpinning the new NCP range have given rise to a system that couples intuitive and speedy installation and maintenance with extremely high availability and reliability, whilst respecting the environment and consuming significantly less power than similar solutions available on the market.

Communications Assistant (CA)

The company describes its new Communication Assistant Productivity Software as a collection of highly intuitive embedded and PC based software applications that blend powerful telephony in the NCP system with screen based presence, availability, Microsoft Outlook integration, integration with common CRM desktop tools compatible with TAPI and a wide variety of collaborative tools to simplify and enhance real-time communications for business telephony users.

The Communication Assistant productivity solution package included in the NCP series can be used without need for additional third party servers, converting it into the ideal solution for small and medium sized businesses with limited IT deployment experience and personnel.
