payasUgym deploys mobile ahead of national expansion

payasUgym.com, the pay as you go health club service, is set for rapid national expansion after deploying a mobile redemption solution by mobile marketing and business solutions company 2ergo.

The system puts mobile at the heart of the payasUgym business model. Customers log onto payasugym, register, credit their account and select their gym of choice. A voucher is then sent to their mobile device and is redeemed at the selected gym to gain entry.

This blend of mobile and online has created a scalable business model and delivers a flexible and convenient way for busy people to exercise without onerous annual gym membership.

Currently payasUgym gives its customers access to over 120 gyms, predominantly in London and the South East, but over the next twelve months the management team aim to treble this number by expanding into other cities such as Manchester and Birmingham

The solution also allows the capture of customer data, providing the business with a platform to create its own mobile marketing campaigns.

John Stevens, Group Managing Director of 2ergo, said, “The mobile payment system uses vouchers, which are a perfect mechanic to manage entry into gyms. By deploying the technology, payasUgym.com has created a business model that can provide health clubs with incremental revenue, supplementing income from membership programmes.

“The use of mobile technology provides wider marketing opportunities because data can be captured about customers and their interests, which can be used to deliver other messages and promotions. In short, payasUgym.com is a simple, profitable and scalable business with huge potential for national expansion.”
