Peach Telecom in Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 list

Comms Business Award Winner 2011 Peach Telecom has been named as one of the top private technology firms in the UK.

Peach Telecom has been listed at number nine in The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 league table, which ranks Britain's 100 private technology companies with the fastest-growing sales over the latest three years.

As well as featuring in the top 10 and being the highest ranked in the south east, the table also ranks Peach Telecom ahead of companies such as Gocompare.com, online car trader, We Buy Any Car, and popular music recognition service provider, Shazam.

The Hampshire company, which provides telephone systems, landline, mobile and data services for businesses communication solutions, has reported stellar growth over previous years. The firm’s turnover has sky-rocketed from £532,792 in 2007 to £7.1m in 2010. Similarly its workforce has more than tripled since the company’s inception in 2006.

Now employing 65 members of staff, Peach Telecom has expanded through organic growth and the acquisition of other businesses, including Harmony Solutions and Pro-Voice.

It has expanded its service lines and now supplies fixed lines and calls, broadband, telephone systems, maintenance on all makes of telephone systems, data solutions, hosted telephony, SIP trunking and a 118 directory service.

The company has a regional office in Lancashire and now the two work with more than 5,000 SME customers over a wealth of industries.

Being listed in the The Sunday Times Microsoft Tech Track 100 comes at the tail end of what has been one of Peach Telecom’s most successful years to date. It started when Peach was named the fastest growing NEC reseller in Europe, the Middle East and Africa, beating off stiff competition from hundreds of other longer-established companies to take the prestigious title.

Since then Peach Telecom has been shortlisted for a staggering eight awards in as many months and has signed a major deal with phone giant, O2, to become one of its selected ‘Joined Up Communications Wholesale Partner Channel programme’ partners. In addition, Peach has named Hampshire Chamber of Commerce’s number one supplier for communications.
