Good quality Wi-Fi is an essential asset for Phones 4u and an important one in ensuring their customers are getting the best experience possible when visiting their stores.
As a result, Phones 4u recently agreed a partnership with The Cloud, a BSkyB company, to deploy wireless internet access at all of Phones 4u's retail outlets across the UK, making ‘4u Wi-Fi’ freely available to Phones 4u customers in store. As a way of saying ‘Merry Xmas’ to their customers, Phones 4u will also be offering customers 3 months free unlimited (at 1GB per month on a fair usage policy) Wi-Fi when they purchase any Wi-Fi enabled pay as you go or contract mobile phone at Phones 4u throughout the Xmas period.
The new 4u Wi-Fi offering from Phones 4u allows customers 3 months of free access to Wi-Fi from their mobile phones whenever they are in one of The Cloud’s 6000+ hotspots across the UK. What makes 4u Wi-Fi even better is that customers only have to register for their Wi-Fi access ONCE. Each time they then enter one of The Cloud’s Wi-Fi hotspots, they will be automatically connected to wireless internet.
Alistair Firth, Director of Customer Development at Phones 4u said: “We recognised that our smartphone customers want to be able to utilise the full capability of their handset without having to worry about their network data allowance. 4u Wi-Fi not only gives them unlimited Wi-Fi access at locations including McDonalds restaurants, JD Wetherspoon pubs, Caffe Nero and thousands more venues including Phones 4u stores, but excitingly it also provides the added convenience of a one-time registration, so there’s no more wasting time with repeated registrations and logins, just seamless access every time they enter one of The Cloud’s more than 6,000 Wi-Fi hotspots.”
In addition to free Wi-Fi this Xmas, Phones 4u are also giving their pay as you go customers a free £10 top-up, delivered to their smartphones by text on Xmas Day.

Phones 4u will be offering £10 free top-up with every pay as you go smartphone purchase from 16th November. It will be offering 3 months free 4u Wi-Fi from 16th November also. Customers will get their first 3 months free, then it’s just £2.99 per month for unlimited Wi-Fi access (at 1GB per month).
