Private Mobile Networks formalises new agreement with Primetech

Private Mobile Networks, the UK provider of private GSM network technology, has announced its solutions are to be incorporated into a new generation of fast response mobile communications vehicles being prepared by Primetech (UK) Ltd.

PMN had seen an opportunity for its solution within the blue light and civil defence arena. Providing a private and secure mobile network that is totally independent of any of the established mobile phone networks ensures that personnel dealing with an incident are able to communicate with colleagues and, potentially, staff from other services at the scene using standard mobile handsets.

“Over the last 12 months we have carried out extensive in-house testing of our rapid deployment model and fully embrace the Primetech go-to-market strategy,” said Chris Moore, Sales Director for Private Mobile Networks.

“When we were first introduced to PMN we immediately recognised the potential of the technology they were developing,” said Henry Walker, Director at Primetech. “We had begun the process of producing a custom built mobile demonstration unit which is equipped to simulate an Incident Command Unit (ICU), so including their private GMS solution seemed an obvious step forward. The emergency services is an area where we already have a substantial presence and we are looking to build on this as well as exploring other markets where an affordable mobile communications solution is required,” added Walker.

Primetech has established itself as a leading provider of voice and data communications services where mobility and rapid deployment capability are key operational requirements. As part of its ongoing development, Primetech has added private GSM technology into its portfolio of established services to provide a fully integrated communications solution comprising cost effective Satellite, Wi-Fi and GSM coverage that can be rapidly deployed, at the touch of a button, at any location.
