ProVu's Warby Named 'Apprentice of the Year'

Distributors
Earlier this year, in a step to develop their growing team, specialist VoIP distributors ProVu joined forces with their local college to offer apprenticeship schemes at their Huddersfield offices. Since joining the scheme, ProVu has recruited three apprentices, all of whom are making a great impact to the workforce.

Last week, Technical Apprentice Luke Warby was named 'Apprentice of the Year' in the Kirklees College COLS (College Outstanding Learner Success) Awards. Luke enjoyed a glamorous evening among other students recognised for their hard work and dedication.

Working alongside Kirklees College, ProVu's Managing Director, Darren Garland commented; “Since adopting the apprenticeship scheme we have seen some great outcomes, the whole team are very proud of Luke and what our apprentices have achieved since joining us. We work closely with Kirklees College who have provided us with a great level of support/advice regarding technical careers for our apprentices. Developing and nurturing our own workforce is really important to the development of our team and we feel confident that our partnership will allow us to do this.”

According to recent Government reports, the government is committed to delivering 3 million quality apprenticeships by 2020.
