Q/DOS Networks Acquires IP-DataPhone

Ipswich-based telecoms and networking specialist, Q/DOS Networks has taken over telecoms and data solutions provider, IP-DataPhone.

Matthew Lidbetter founder and Managing Director of Q/DOS said, “IP-DataPhone is well known to us. We have worked alongside them, most recently on installations at Derby County and Ipswich Town Football Clubs and greatly admired the high calibre of their staff and the standard of their work.

Like Q/DOS they supply total telecommunications solutions for business customers in East Anglia and across the UK. IP-DataPhone’s corporate values of delivering cost effective, innovative solutions, backed up with premium service and support mirror those of Q/DOS.”

Laurence Woolley, founder and Managing Director of IP-DataPhone and his staff will be joining forces with Q/DOS and merging the customer bases, product portfolio and skills. This will position Q/DOS’ as one of the leading voice and data solutions provider in East Anglia.

The company’s core business is supply, installation and maintenance of business telephone systems and ancillary equipment. In addition to the Ipswich Town and Derby County Football Club contracts, other recent installations by the firms include multi-site applications for DHL, Holiday Inn and Courtyard by Marriott Hotels, throughout the UK.

As a result of the merger, Q/DOS will be able to offer customers an enhanced level of service and allow the company to move into new, developing areas, such as VoIP and converged voice and data applications.

Matthew Lidbetter will continue in his role as Managing Director and will be joined on the board by Laurence Woolley, Sales Director, Trevor Pearson, Financial Director and Simon Catterick, Operations Director.
