Questmark Goes Wild

Videoconferencing company Questmark has joined the Wildlife Guardians scheme, the corporate involvement programme of the Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust.

The scheme, launched in 1999, is designed to harness the potential for business and voluntary sector collaboration to contribute positively to environmental conservation. It encourages business and organisations whatever their size to join with the Wildlife Trust to work together towards achieving an environment rich in wildlife and enjoyed by the communities with whom we share it.

“By reducing the need for travel, videoconferencing can make significant reductions in the carbon footprint of organisations and individuals,” says Sam McMaster, Questmark’s Chief Executive. “As a result it is important for us to become members of the Trust and to work with them to spread the message about the environmental benefits of videoconferencing amongst its members.”

As part of this Questmark Ltd will be providing the Trust with videoconferencing equipment, which will hopefully be revealed at the 2008 Green Guardians Environmental Awards launch on April 17th.

The Nottinghamshire Wildlife Trust is the largest environmental conservation organisation in the County with over 40 years of experience in nature conservation. The Trust manages over 2,000 acres hectares of nature reserves, and is responsible for the protection of some of the County’s finest wildlife areas, both rural and urban.
